Cinnamon Bear's Bday

Cinnamon Bear had her 3rd birthday! (Everyone hold up three fingers and said "tooweer!")

We started off the day with lunch at a local pancake house where Cinnamon voraciously gobbled a pancake smothered with syrup. She also got a turn at the peg game (try to leave 1 peg by jumping over other pegs on a board in the shape of a triangle). As usual, she followed her own rules and won every time, but that's what happens when you get to be princess for the day!

Then we went to the playground near our apartment. Papa Bear played basketball with Cinnamon and Panda while Baby and Mama cheered from the sidelines. Cinnamon got to go really high on the swing, and we all sat on the 4-way seesaw and teeter-tottered away. Cinnamon loved it and Panda got a thrill out of flying by the seat of her pants. Papa Bear, like the little boy he is, teetered for all he was worth.

After that, it was home to open presents. Cinnamon complained and wanted to stay at the playground, not fully understanding the definition of the word "presents." Once we brought out all the gifts, she was rarin' to go, though. She got a collector's edition Care Bear, books, clothes, treats, DVDs (Tinkerbell, Elmo in Grouchland, Milo & Otis, and The Tale of Despereaux), a Pooh bear from Papa, a train and tracks, a microphone from Mama, a koala bear from Panda, and a play bug set with a play lantern from Panda (probably the favorite of all the gifts). Panda was very helpful when Cinnamon couldn't figure out Mama Bear's tape job.

Finally, it was time for the cake. With some more help from Panda and Mama (it takes a village to blow out birthday cake candles), Bethany made her wish and licked all the frosting off her piece of cake. Then it was off to happy playing and bugging Mama to get her toys out of the militantly packaged toys. Exhausted from a fun day, Cinnamon fell asleep on the couch at 6:00.
